The Fund for People in Parks

distributed their 40th edition of their newsletter, Trailblazer, last month. In it, they share updates about their ongoing and recently completed projects in California, Oregon and Hawaii, an interview with Redwood National and State Parks Superintendent Steve Mietz, and celebrate Women’s History Month with favorite stories from women involved in park projects.

Additionally, The Fund for People in Parks is celebrating 10 years of partnership with ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÉç! Happy Anniversary!

MENTOR California

Join for their upcoming training series, The Elements of Effective Practice. This in-depth coverage of the evidence-based practices for youth mentoring will provide participants with ideas and tools for implementation within their programs. The training is available for those in the mentoring field who have not yet been to an Elements Training as well as for those who want a refresher course.

The three-day series will be held online April 23-25, 2024. Register .


North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance

(NAPSA) Director Erika Fleury will be a featured panelist in an upcoming webinar, After the Lab, hosted by the American Bar Association. The webinar explores how former laboratory chimpanzees are re-homed to primate sanctuaries. Panelists will explore the world of these sanctuaries and learn about the legal framework within which they operate.

The Paul R. Williams Scholarship & Education Fund

is currently accepting applications for two scholarship programs, the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Legacy Scholarship and the USC Legacy Scholarship. Both programs are open to architecture students enrolled in their 4th or 5th year – the Legacy Scholarship is for those at one of the seven listed HBCUs offering an NAAB-accredited architecture program, and the USC Legacy Scholarship is for those at USC.
