We hope your 2022 is wrapping up nicely. Below, please find the topline results from the Fiscal Year 2022 annual Project Impact and Customer Satisfaction Survey. We thank you for participating. Let us know if you have any questions or would like to discuss the survey results in more detail.<\/p>\n<p>黑料福利社 and Research Evaluation Consulting (REC) teamed up once more in 2022 to conduct our annual satisfaction survey. We were able to examine the actions and experiences of our Projects in a representative way because <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">90% of our Project Partners participated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Who Are We?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This year, Projects selected primary and secondary foci for their mission. <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Education, Social Justice, and \u201cOther\u201d<\/strong> were the top priority categories in our network, but our Projects are still varied in purpose and contribute much to the following sectors:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Philanthropy<br \/>\nYouth Development<br \/>\nJournalism and Media<br \/>\nAnimal Welfare<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/test-category\/fy22-snapshot-of-our-community\/attachment\/space\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14705\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14705\" src=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/space.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Human Services<br \/>\nArts and Culture<br \/>\nNetworking and Alliances<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">78%<\/strong> of 黑料福利社 Projects have at least one employees and are diverse in both scope and budget.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/december-2022-newsletter\/fiscal-year-2022-snapshot-of-our-community\/attachment\/screenshot-2022-12-01-at-2-07-28-pm\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14698\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-14698\" src=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/Screenshot-2022-12-01-at-2.07.28-PM-300x196.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"390\" height=\"255\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">33%<\/strong> of projects have budgets up to $99,999.<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">36%<\/strong> of projects have budgets between $100,000\u2014$499,999.<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">13%<\/strong> of projects have budgets of $500,000\u2014$999,999.<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">18%<\/strong> of projects have budgets of over $1 million.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>How Do We Measure Impact?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Measuring impact is critical to any Project\u2019s ability to demonstrate their value and ultimately raise funds for future work. Metrics may be self-selected or dictated by the terms of a grant agreement. A total of 79 Projects (100%) identified at least one metric that they tracked. They are listed below in order of emphasis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/knowledge-blog\/annual-survey-a-close-look-at-community-initiatives-in-2020\/attachment\/red-hands-heart-paint-1200\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7916\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7916 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/red-hands-heart-paint-1200-300x200.png\" alt=\"Red Heart Painted on Hands\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Outcomes and Impact<\/li>\n<li>Event Attendance<\/li>\n<li>Populations Served<\/li>\n<li>Project Impact<\/li>\n<li>Services Offered<\/li>\n<li>Financial Stability and Funding<\/li>\n<li>Participant Feedback<\/li>\n<li>Public Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Staff Feedback and Satisfaction<\/li>\n<li>Degree of Engagement<\/li>\n<li>Collaborations and Partnerships<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We\u2019re proud to report that 黑料福利社 Fiscally Sponsored Projects served a total of <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">1.45 million<\/strong> people in 2022. Also, our projects enjoyed the help of <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">2,500 volunteers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What Went Right?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Projects celebrated many successes in the past year, most often cited in the selected key categories below.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Organizational Improvements<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n60% mentioned <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">organizational improvements<\/strong> as significant successes; this was the number one category of significant successes this year. This theme included efforts such as hiring and training staff, setting strategy, building capacity, and modifying performance indicators.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Community Engagement and Outreach<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nA plurality of Projects (<strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">24%<\/strong>) described stories of <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">engagement, outreach, and provision of services<\/strong> to their target audiences. Such responses highlighted ongoing, expanded, or new programming, serving specific groups in their geographic or professional areas, and sharing knowledge with others in their communities.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Projects felt 黑料福利社 had positively impacted their work.<\/strong> The most-commonly referenced examples mentioned:<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Project Infrastructure and Operational Support (60%)<br \/>\nGuidance and Positive Interactions (22%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shared Challenges<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Many challenges may feel unique to your organization, but your peers are often struggling with similar hurdles \u2013 even if they work in a different focus area. This year\u2019s most common challenges are listed below.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Fundraising and Financial Viability<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nThe challenges reported by <strong>28%<\/strong> of projects were primarily associated with fundraising, project budgets, and maintaining financial capacity.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">Turnover<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nStaffing issues (<strong>17%<\/strong>) included challenges with internal turnover and hiring of new board staff.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Most Valuable Services<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Projects specifically listed and ranked the most valuable services they received from 黑料福利社: (*projects can select more than one response.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">36% Accounting and Financial Services<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">23% Accounts Payable<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">23% Human Resources Support<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">18% Legal Services and Contract Review<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">10% Grant Support<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>In Your Own Words<\/strong><\/h3>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 390px;\">\n<p><em>\u201c黑料福利社 has been amazing to work with &#8211; responding quickly to questions and providing thought partnership as EFN launches itself as an organization with a staff of one.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eshipfundersnetwork.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 Entrepreneurs Funders Network<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cStaff is responsive, and portal is tremendously helpful to a new nonprofit.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/emergencyprephelp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 Emergency Prep Help<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAll of the 黑料福利社 people with whom we work have been extremely helpful, available with little lead time, and extremely gracious and patient\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crtwc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 Center for Reaching &amp; Teaching the Whole Child<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Our team received much support as we launched new projects such as a membership-based coalition and sponsorships through a conference. 黑料福利社&#8217; staff was very helpful in creating contracts and helped us ensure we stayed within guidelines&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.phdreamers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 Pre-Health Dreamers<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/test-category\/fy22-snapshot-of-our-community\/attachment\/space\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14705\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14705\" src=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/space.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 390px;\">\n<p><em>\u201c黑料福利社 is incredibly helpful and supportive.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<strong style=\"color: #da291c;\">\u2022 Parent Advisory Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c黑料福利社 is making us a more polished and professional organization.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gameheadsoakland.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 Gameheads<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c黑料福利社 has allowed South Kern Sol to focus on the work and address some of the most critical needs our most vulnerable communities have had, such as partnering with the food bank to provide fresh food access, PPE, COVID-19 vaccines to our communities.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/southkernsol.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 South Kern Sol<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;黑料福利社 goes the extra mile to offer best-in-class service to its fiscally sponsored projects. This commitment to continuous improvement and some core organizational values that we share in common with 黑料福利社 have allowed us to extend our reach and impact beyond what would have been possible without fiscal sponsorship.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/latinooutdoors.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2022 Latino Outdoors<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/knowledge-blog\/annual-survey-a-close-look-at-community-initiatives-in-2020\/attachment\/people-in-front-of-sunset-red-800\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7923\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7923 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/communityinitiatives.org\/project-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/people-in-front-of-sunset-red-800.png\" alt=\"People in front of red sunset\" width=\"800\" height=\"212\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Meeting the Need in Fiscal Year 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We are pleased to announce that in each service area measured, Projects reported satisfaction levels statistically on par with 黑料福利社\u2019 Fiscal Year 2021 satisfaction rating. On average, Projects gave a rating of 3.42 out of 4, which was slightly higher than in Fiscal Year 2021. Similarly, about 94% of Projects said they would be at least somewhat likely to recommend 黑料福利社 to others.<\/p>\n<p>89% of Projects responded that they were satisfied or somewhat satisfied with 黑料福利社 in the Fiscal Year 2022. Project Infrastructure and Operational Support was the top reason 黑料福利社 made a positive difference in our projects\u2019 work. Projects also gave positive staff interactions a nod as one of the top reasons 黑料福利社 made a positive difference. Yet, we appreciated your candid responses to the survey and noted that some Projects who discussed dissatisfaction with 黑料福利社 did write about issues with staff, which we plan to address.<\/p>\n<p>We are focused on how we can improve service delivery in 2023. Based on the data received, we will continue to prioritize and improve in these critical areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved communications<\/li>\n<li>Celebrate successes internally and externally<\/li>\n<li>Bolster funding opportunities and support<\/li>\n<li>Follow up with projects about their needs and concerns<\/li>\n<li>Continue to provide high-quality HR support and financial services for projects<\/li>\n<li>Continue to evaluate and streamline the survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each of our Projects relies on fiscal sponsorship to make their work possible.
